As well as holding the bold vision that by 2021 older people in Essex will be the most tech confident in the world, we also want to make the county the leading destination for innovators and independent living technology in practice.
As part of our plans to achieve this we are mapping out the ecosystem of projects and schemes currently using health and social care technology across Essex. This will give us an overview of what is currently taking place and find out if there are any gaps in what is being provided. It will also help to better connect like-minded organisations and individuals with projects already underway.
An innovation panel, made up of key people from health and social care organisations, will also identify some schemes which are having a positive impact on older people’s health and wellbeing and look into how they can be more widely adopted to have greater impact.
Do you know of a digital innovation happening that is supporting older people’s health and wellbeing? Are you an Essex organisation at the forefront of age-tech innovation? Or do you have an idea for a project? We want to hear from you so we can support your scheme through the Digital Boomers coalition, which includes partners from across the health and care sector. We can connect you with other like-minded organisations, help you navigate the health and care markets, support you with patient co-production, match you with working spaces in Essex, help with co-bidding for funding and more.
